If you believe your child may benefit from therapy support at school, please speak with their classroom teacher. Requests for service are submitted through the school and are considered according to student needs and regional prioritisation processes.
Nursing services
State Schools Nursing Services support eligible students who have health support needs at school.
This may include the development of Individual Health Plans and Emergency Health Plans, staff training, advice about health support procedures and assistance with risk management for school activities.
Students with medical conditions such as epilepsy, asthma or anaphylaxis may require an individual health plan developed in consultation with their medical practitioner. The school will work with families and the State Schools Registered Nurse to coordinate the required support.

Their role includes:

undertaking cognitive and adaptive behaviour assessments

Social Work and wellbeing support
Our school is also supported by a Social Worker who provides wellbeing support for students and their families. This may include individual student support, assistance for parents and caregivers, collaboration with external services and helping families connect with NDIS and other community supports.
Families wishing to access Social Worker support can speak with their child’s Sector Deputy.
