Camps, excursions and incursions give students opportunities to extend their learning, explore the community and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond their usual classroom routines.
Year 10 camp

Our Year 10 students have the opportunity to attend an overnight camp at the Jacobs Well Environmental Education Centre. Students participate in a range of supported outdoor and environmental learning experiences designed to build confidence, independence, teamwork and connection with the natural environment.
Activities may include:
- A trip aboard the Educat to South Stradbroke Island
- Exploring freshwater ponds and mangrove habitats
- A reptile and bush critter encounter
- A modified low ropes course
- Indigenous games and traditional fire-making
- Fishing and yabby catching
- Investigating wildlife nest boxes
- A campfire and marshmallow toasting
Students stay in air-conditioned bunkhouses, with separate sleeping areas for boys and girls. School staff attend the camp and provide support throughout the experience.

Excursions and incursions
Throughout the year, we provide a range of excursions and incursions to extend learning beyond the classroom. These experiences give students opportunities to explore new environments, connect with the wider community and participate in engaging, hands-on learning.
Activities are selected to complement the units of work being taught across the school and are adapted to suit students’ ages, learning needs and interests. Excursions and incursions vary between year levels and may change from year to year.
