Our Junior Secondary program supports students in Years 7 to 9 through engaging, age-appropriate learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Teachers work collaboratively to adjust and differentiate learning according to each student’s curriculum level, strengths, interests and individual needs.
Individualised learning
Each student’s learning is guided by their Individual Curriculum Plan. Teachers provide appropriate adjustments, communication supports and different ways for students to participate and demonstrate their learning.
Building skills and independence
Students continue to develop their communication, literacy and numeracy while building greater independence, confidence and responsibility. These skills are practised through classroom learning, practical activities and experiences across the school.
Preparing for Senior Secondary
Junior Secondary provides an important bridge between primary and senior learning. Students are supported to explore their interests, build practical skills and become increasingly active participants in their learning and school community.
